Jason Etzel

CONTRIBUTOR

Contributor with over 20 years experience within the photographic industry coordinating product launches, presentations, and educational events.

From an early age Jason Etzel learned of the damaging and often misdiagnosed aspects of  Mental Health. Undiagnosed for Lyme Disease for over a decade, Jason was frequently taken from specialist to specialist for answers.  In his quest for a cure he frequently met other patients who also suffered a variety of neurological ailments and mental disorders. Although eventually treated, chronic issues will remain and Jason has since been on a mission to raise mental health awareness throughout his career.

As a photographer, Jason Etzel has donated his talents in teaching beginner photography classes at local schools to children with special needs, senior assisted living communities as well as Veterans from our armed forces as a form of therapy.  Photographic therapy has long been used as a way for communication to share thoughts, feelings, frustrations, joy, viewpoints and more which is highly utilized in other Mental Health cases.

Partnered with the MHF, Jason Etzel is hoping to increase awareness and #breakthestigma surrounding Mental Health.
